Trip Introduction:

Mt K2 Expedition to the second highest peak, 8,611m / 28,251ft situated in Pakistan. It is just  784 feet shorter than Mt Everest. Mt. K2 has long been known as the mountaineer’s mountain. The sharp triangle of its silhouette and height above the surrounding terrain not only define the archetypal image of a mountain but also make K2 far more difficult and dangerous to climb. Truly speaking, technically it is a rather difficult summit than Everest. The Abruzzi Spur is the most popular route while climbing Mt. K2.

Mt K2 Expedition: The Route

Climbing via the Abruzzi Spur many international expedition teams have succeeded in ascending K2. The route leads us about 300 ft. up steep wind-packed snow towards the summit ridge. From the summit of K2, we can see the 360-degree view of Mount Gasherbrum (I-VII), Masherbrum, Mustagh Tower, and Chogolisa.  The summit lies vertically 650 meters above Camp 4  between 7,520 meters and 8,000 meters.\

We can complete the Mt K2 Expedition within the time span of eight weeks (from/to Islamabad) or if we wish as long as ten weeks or more depending on the weather conditions. After the summit, we cross over the 6000 meters high Gondogoro Pass and descend to the beautiful green Hushe valley until we reach Skardu.

We have adequate knowledge of the permits procedures and personally acquainted with yak drivers/herders, vehicle hires, and hoteliers. We have our own highly experienced, hard-working Sherpa climbing team, high altitude guides, cooks, and porters from Nepal. We welcome any individual team member to join us for K2 expedition in Pakistan.

Day 01 Arrive in Islamabad (540m ) and Transfer to hotel
Day 02 Briefing at the Ministry of Tourism. Meeting with LO (Liaison Officer)
Day 03 Fly to Skardu. In case of cancellation of flight drive to Chilas (480 km).
Day 04 Day free at Skardu in case you arrive by flight. If you are driving, you will complete the road journey (07–08 hrs) to Skardu (275 km) En-route has a good view of  Nanga Parbat (8,125m).
Day 05 Drive from Skardu to Askole (2,600m) by jeeps (6 hours)
Day 06 Trek from Askole to Jhola (3,185m)
Day 07  Trek from Jhola to paiyu (3,383m)
Day 08 Rest Day in Paiyu
Day 09 Trek from Paiyu to Urdukas (4,130m)
Day 10 Trek from Urdukas to Goro II (4,250m)
Day 11 Trek from Goro II to Board peak Base Camp(4,572m)
Day 12 Trek from Broad Base Camp to K2 Base Camp (5,150m )
Day 13-44 Climbing period from Base camp to summit (8,611m) and back to Base camp
Day 45 Rest day in Base camp and personal equipment packing
Day 46 Trek from Base camp to Goro II (4,250m)
Day 47 Trek from Goro II to  Khuburtse
Day 48 Trek from Kumburtse to mundung
Day 49 Trek from mundung to Askole
Day 50 Drive from Askole to Skardu
